Sometimes I feel like I’m suffocating. But in a good way.

Here’s some great news. This post will NOT include recipes, food commentary or portraits of low-carb biscuits, lasagna or salmon patties. I promise.

I spent most of the day on Monday redesigning my Ovation Creative website. I’m finally making progress and I love the new look, but there’s so much work left to do that sometimes I feel like I’m suffocating. But in a good way.

Even though they have the worst track record on earth and I’d be an idiot to believe them, the meteorologists lying sacks of poo at Weather.com are forecasting TWO STRAIGHT DAYS OF VERY HEAVY RAIN — three or more inches! — for drought-stricken north Texas starting today around noon. I’m looking forward to this, people. I never leave the house, anyway, unless it involves opening the door for Chinese food or a UPS delivery. It’s a full life. I’ll fill my time today with soup and a few good movies, and if anybody wants to come over and help me fold socks the party starts at 8 p.m. Click here to reserve your seat on the couch. Thank you in advance.

Holy crap, it’s 3 a.m. and I have to go to bed. Shut the light when you’re done here, okay?
