It’s almost midnight and I’ve run out of productive activities.

Anybody notice the handsome new longhorn steer in the Howdygram’s banner? I haven’t named him yet but I’m considering “Alamoo.” Feel free to share your own brainstorm or make a suggestion, okay?

I’m pleased to report that I’ve had an evening of productive activities that included: 1) injecting insulin; 2) making, admiring and eating low-carb biscuits; 3) watching “People’s Court,” “Hardcore Pawn” and The Goodbye Girl starring Richard Dreyfuss and Marsha Mason; and 4) filing my nails. It’s almost midnight and I’ve run out of productive activities, so I’ve decided to horse around with the Howdygram until I’m ready for bed. Is this your lucky day, or what?
Sam is working late again tonight, maybe 4 or 4:30 a.m., so I don’t really expect to see him until sometime tomorrow morning. I sure hope I have an easier time sleeping tonight than I did last night with all that damn joint pain and plantar fasciitis crap going on. I’m not feeling much better tonight, to tell you the truth, but I’ll bet I’m tired enough to ignore it.

Thank you for reading this.

I still need to make and try those low carb biscuits. They look SO good! :-)

They’re amazing, Scott. Buy yourself a box of CarbQuik from Netrition.com. The recipe (it’s also printed on the back of the box) is just 2/3 cup of water and 2 cups of CarbQuik mixed into a dough. I use my bread machine to make the dough (it takes about 60 seconds). Drop six balls of dough onto a nonstick cookie sheet, flatten the balls into patties that look like biscuits and bake for 15 minutes at 350. That’s it. With only two net carbs per biscuit you can eat all six with butter and die happy!
