Hot hands, restless legs and thunderstorms.

Here’s what’s happening at 1 a.m. in Howdygramland. Sam is asleep, there’s light rain falling outside and I’ve got RESTLESS LEG SYNDROME that started a few hours ago along with HOT HANDS. I’m not at all sure what any of this means. I looked up “what do hot hands mean” on Google and the most predominant explanation — seriously — is that I’ve been anointed by God with the miraculous gift of HEALING. This, dear readers, is a pile of crapola, and it’s way more likely that my hot hands are related to a blood sugar issue. In any event, I’ll be awake for a while until the symptoms go away. (If I go to bed like this I’ll drive Sam crazy.) Thank you for putting up with me.

Another big round of thunderstorms is supposed to roll in here around 7 a.m. This is excellent news, to tell you the truth, because we definitely need the rain. All of north Texas is under a stage 3 drought warning with mandatory fines if you screw up any of the rules, so free water from the sky is a welcome sight. Bring it on.

I’ll close this post with my all-time favorite picture of Sam at 18 months old. (He’ll probably kill me for this. Maybe I’ll pretend I don’t know how it happened.)
Thanks for stopping by.
